Amazon announced the launch of Prime Video Channels and Prime Video Store for Chile and Colombia, expanding the selection of content available for customers via Prime Video. The new launches are an addition to the large selection of popular and exclusive movies and TV shows available to stream on Prime Video, including Amazon Original series and movies like "Citadel," "The Boys," "The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power," "Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan," and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" and local Originals "Sayen," "Colonia Dignidad," "SOS Mamis" (CL), "LOL Colombia," "Noticia de Un Secuestro," and "The Boy From Medellin."
Prime Video Channels enables customers to get even more out of their Prime Video subscription by adding their favorite streaming channels for a monthly subscription fee, without the need to enter a lengthy contract, and the convenience of a single account, login, and user experience. Prime Video Channels subscriptions that will soon be available for Colombia and Chile include Paramount +, Vix Premium, MGM, Kanal D Drama, Looke, Adrenalina Pura, and Mubi. “We believe that customers want more content than what a single service can offer and that they want to find and view it in an easy way, without having to search for it in different applications or having to remember different usernames, passwords, and payment methods,” said Paulo Koelle, Director of Prime Video for Latin America.
In addition to the growing catalog of original and licensed titles on Prime Video, Prime Video subscribers in Colombia and Chile will be able to select from a variety of channels that not only provide access to their favorite TV shows and movies all in one place but live events and linear content at their fingertips to enjoy anywhere, anytime. Through Prime Video Channels, customers will be able to subscribe and stream all the great content of Paramount+ and subscribe to a range of other Channels offering international series and movies, such as ViX Premium, Looke, and Adrenalina Pura, the best Turkish series from Kanal D Drama, and must-watch indie films in MUBI, all available to watch instantly with select content available for download to watch on the go.
In addition, the Prime Video Store will give customers the opportunity to rent or buy new movie releases, including Hollywood blockbusters and fan-favorite titles. Movies in the Prime Video Store will be available to rent or buy from major U.S. studios, such as Warner Bros., NBCUniversal, Sony, Paramount, and Lionsgate.
