Italy’s leading producer Gruppo Alcuni heads to MIFA 2025 with two notable international launches for the animation market: "The Black Diamond Race" and "MiniDinos".

Co-produced by Gruppo Alcuni, along with RAI Kids, RTVE, Broadvision and Motion Pictures, "The Black Diamond Race" (9x45’ CGI adventure/action) is the first in a sequel with a kids target to be aired across Europe. As post-production wraps up on this ambitious project, a number of episodes will be available to view at MIFA.

With its riveting focus on car racing, which was becoming the rage in Europe and India in 1929, the story revolves around Rani, teen daughter of Maharaja Jay Singh, who yearns for freedom from social barriers to become a record-breaking heroine behind the wheel. In a race against time and the world’s most wanted bad guys, Rani and her European teammates will take us on an epic rally through India in their pioneering sports cars of the Roaring 20s.

For younger audiences, there is a new addition to the beloved Pet Pals family with the tiny "MiniDinos" (26x6’ 2D adventure/comedy/discovery), who previously co-starred in the successful "Mini Pet Pals" & "Mini Dinos" in 2024, and now have a series of their own.

In co-production with RAI Kids, the tiny prehistoric heroes (Ego, Toothy, Attila, Dactyla, Bump, Trill, Smash and Smilla) are up against three crested dinosaur bullies, intent on taking over the valley. With support from Diluviana, the ancient tree, who hands out animal super powers as needed, the "MiniDinos" will rely on their clever creativity to beat the bad guys.

MIFA will also be an opportunity for Gruppo Alcuni to share their most recent successes, such as the "Leo da Vinci" series, "Gateway 66" and "Vlady&Mirò", while highlighting the brand-new "Pet Pals: The Return", a special comeback to celebrate the Pet Pals 25th anniversary!
