Ukraine will have an important presence at Marche du Film, the Cannes Film Festival that will take place from 17 to 25 May. United Ukrainian pavilion, organized by Ukrainian State Film Agency, Ukrainian Cinema Association, and other leading industry associations, will feature various stands for major Ukrainian film companies.
FILM.UA Distribution (distribution wing of FILM.UA Group) is preparing to show a brand-new catalogue at its own stand that will unite many Ukrainian producers and feature films of all genres. "This year’s catalogue represents an extremely wide selection of the most recent Ukrainian projects. It is not just a commercial offer, but also a reflection of the constantly growing creative industry that responds to all the changes Ukraine has gone through in the last years," said from FILM. UA.
"Our catalogue shows a broad variety of genres, from family comedies to detective thrillers, from historical films to documentaries, from epic sagas to period dramas, from war actions to fantasy animations. And of course, it includes children's content. Many of these projects are already known in the world: they were pitched at the major festivals, distributed to various territories, won awards and the hearts of the audience. But it is the first time when all gathered in one place. So our colleagues from all over the world can get familiar with Ukrainian products quickly and easily and pick the content to procure at the same stand," they added.
“We have dozens of new ideas and projects in development, so we’re open to any international cooperation," – affirmed Evgeniy Drachov, CEO FILM.UA Distribution. "Ukrainian film industry have highly skilled professionals, and FILM.UA Group is happy to offer all of our creative and technical potential to colleagues from all over the world to create great projects together. We are ready to embark on any adventure. Our catalogue shows some of the most exciting projects we had a pleasure to partake, so anyone can get an impression of a level we can achieve together.”
