Factual UK distributor Limonero Films is heading to autumn markets Medimed and MIPCOM with some important news. The company has announced a string of sales including "Tigre Gente" (1x94'), produced by Violet Films in the UK, has had a great run this year, having been licensed by TRT World, VRT and EBS; "Manufacturing the Threat" (1x85’ & 52’), the new film by Canadian filmmaker Amy Miller, will be seen on Al Jazeera Media Network.

In other deals, Limonero Films sold "Thirties in Colour: Countdown to War" (3x48’) to Asharq News, PBS UK, and RTVE. The public Spanish channel also licensed the science title "Water: The Strangest Liquid" (1x52´), the food and travel series "Edible Wild" (14x30’) and the newly launched "The Wandering Chef" (13x30’).

The wildlife title "Heroines of the Savannah" (1x52’), by Eduardo Barrachina (Azor Productions), focuses on the lives of three African matriarchs, and has been sold to VRT, China Central Television, Canal + Poland, KBS and NHK. "We are now in our eighth year of business, I am still very proud of the eclecticism of the titles in our catalogue," asserted Martinez Martinez. "In the very competitive current media landscape, Limonero Films wants to offer real support and transparency to our producers, and the best quality factual entertainment, and documentaries to the international players," she completed.

NEW AGREEMENT
Recently, Limonero Films and Secuoya Studios sealed an alliance for the international distribution of five projects from Secuoya Studios’ unscripted area. Specifically, this agreement brings together the feature-length documentary "Voices of a City", directed by Curro Sánchez Varela, and the documentary series "13 Days", "Race In", "Isaac & Nora" and "Proximity", the new productions from the documentary department, whose director is Alfredo Pérez de Albéniz.

"We have been following the development of the new documentary department at Secuoya Studios for some time. We were very impressed with the quality of the factual titles we had the opportunity to see earlier this year. Both the one offs, and the series are impeccably crafted, and are designed for an international audience," said Limonero's CEO.

NEW LAUNCHES
Limonero Films launches "The Keepers of the Pigs" documentary (1x70', 52' & 3x30'), produced by Moveover productions and directed by Sharon Walia. From the UK and Europe to Peru, follow this humorous and heart-warming adventure as we set out to discover the forgotten history of these creatures in one of the first major documentaries about guinea pigs.

Another new title is "Dr. Cliff Worldwide Vet" (1x60'). It follows Dr. Cliff Redford as he travels to exotic locations around the world and works with local animal rescues in caring for injured and sick pets. "We love the film. It's a one-off, and we would like to take it into a series," affirmed Martinez Martinez. The distributor is also promoting "Rise Up!" (1x90'), a documentary about encouraging people to stand up for what they believe in. "We have at least eight new titles and projects for MIPCOM," she expressed.
