Ser!alK!ller is an ambitious festival with a unique goal of turning the world's attention to the great potential of creators from Central and Eastern Europe that have been actively gaining popularity in recent years, producing works that later become great hits on platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, HBO and others.
For example, Amazon Prime purchased the rights for the Russian project "Gogol" which itself was an entry in the main competition of the first Ser!alK!ller festival, and another competitor in the 2018 festival, the Polish TV series "Ultraviolet" was added to Netflix two months after its premiere at the festival in Brno.
Apart from the hits from Central and Eastern Europe, Ser!alK!ller's program for this season included works such as the British series "White House Farm", starring Stephen Graham, and "Laetitia", a new drama by Oscar winner Juan-Xavier de Lestrade that was first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
