AMPERSAND FICTION TO DISTRIBUTE RUSSIAN THRILLER "THE DEAD LAKE" FROM 1-2-3 PRODUCTION

The French company Ampersand Fiction, Ampersand’s division dedicated to TV Fiction, teams up with 1-2-3 Production and GPM Entertainment Television (GPM ETV) for the international distribution of the chilling crime thriller "The Dead Lake", in co-production with Mediaslovo. The series (8x52’) is directed by Roman Prygunov ("Dukhless") and written by Roman Kantor, the scriptwriter behind the Netflix Original "To The Lake" and this Christmas box office hit Silver Skates.

Synopsis: In a tiny, ever white snow town in the Arctic Circle, residents live a quiet, unhurried and simple life. But everything is turned upside down when ambitious Moscow detective Maxim Pokrovsky is sent to investigate the most shocking crime in local memory: the death of the local oligarch’s daughter. Soon, Maxim realizes that the motive for the murder isn’t really clear and that the circumstances of the young woman’s death look like a ritual killing. As Maxim gets deeper into the case, he starts to uncover his own strange and frightening abilities.
