"I'm Still Here," the first Globoplay Original film, was announced by The Academy as part of the 2025 Oscars shortlist, which highlights films pre-selected for nomination consideration. Directed by Walter Salles, the film may compete in the Best International Film category, marking another significant milestone for Globo in the year it celebrates its centenary and the 10th anniversary of Globoplay.

Co-produced between Brazil and France, the cast includes prominent names such as Selton Mello, Fernanda Montenegro, Marjorie Estiano, Antônio Saboia, Maeve Jinkings, Humberto Carrão, and Dan Stulbach. The film is produced by VideoFilmes, RT Features, and Mact Productions, in co-production with Globoplay, ARTE France, and Conspiração, and distributed in Brazil by Sony Pictures.

Manuel Belmar, Director of Digital Products, Finance, Legal, and Infrastructure at Globo celebrated the milestone: "The inclusion of 'I'm Still Here' in the 2025 Oscars shortlist is a monumental recognition for Globo and reflects the film's ability to move audiences, both in Brazil and abroad. The film not only showcases the quality of Brazilian productions but also celebrates our history and culture on a global stage," commented.

With over 2.7 million viewers in Brazilian cinemas, the film has achieved national success and gained international recognition. It is currently competing for a Golden Globe in the Best Non-English Language Film category, while Fernanda is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Film. Even before its national premiere, the film was acclaimed at international festivals, such as the Venice Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Screenplay.

Based on Marcelo Rubens Paiva's eponymous book, "I'm Still Here" tells the moving story of Eunice Paiva's search for her husband, Rubens Paiva, a former congressman who disappeared during Brazil's military regime. The production has been praised by critics worldwide for its sensitive storytelling and standout performances, particularly Fernanda Torres in the role of Eunice.
