Official awards of the 81st Venice International Film Festival have been announced in the closing ceremony covered by independent and international cinema journalist Mansour Jahani. The winners of various competitive, including ; The Main Competition, the Orizzonti competition, the Immersive competition and the Orizzonti Extra were introduced and the prestigious Golden Lion award for the best film and other awards of this film event were awarded to the winners.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
Golden Lion for Best Film was to “The Room Next Door” directed by Pedro Almodóvar (Spain)
Silver Lion - Grand Jury Prize was to “VERMIGLIO” by Maura Delpero (Italy, France, Belgium)
Silver Lion for Best Director was to Brady Corbet for the film “The Brutalist” (United Kingdom)
Coppa Volpi for Best Actress was to Nicole Kidman in the film “BABYGIRL” by Halina Reijn (United States)
Coppa Volpi for Best Actor was to Vincent Lindon in the film "The Quiet Son" by Delphine Coulin and Muriel Coulin (France)
Award for Best Screenplay was to Murilo Hauser and Heitor Lorega for the film “I'm Still Here” by Walter Salles (Brazil, France)
Special Jury Prize was to “APRIL” by Dea Kulumbegashvili (France, Italy, Georgia)
“Marcello Mastroianni” Award for Best Young Actor or Actress to: Paul Kircher in the film “And Their Children After Them” by Ludovic Boukherma and Zoran Boukherma (France)

The 81st Venice Film Festival, as the world's oldest film event, is chaired by Alberto Barbera and with the screening of works by directors from different countries in the Competition, including; Main Competition, Orizzonti Competition, Immersive competition, as well as the out of competition; Special Screening, Orizzonti Extra, Venice Classics, College Cinema and Best of Experiences in Best of Worlds, was held 28 August - 7 September 2024, in city Venice, Italy.
