After providing a snapshot of US demand for Disney+’s “The Mandalorian” against some of 2019’s biggest streaming debuts earlier this week, Parrot Analytics has now tested its US demand seven days out versus a sample of more established science fiction television hits, from both streaming and linear platforms.

These sci-fi hits include: Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” BBC’s “Doctor Who,” HBO’s “Westworld,” and CBS All-Access’ “Star Trek: Discovery”. Parrot Analytics’ Time-Shift Analysis shows how US demand for “The Mandalorian” stacks up against US demand during recent seasons of the previously mentioned series.

Seven days out from its season one launch, demand for Disney+’s “The Mandalorian” in the US is: 298% ahead of CBS All Access’ “Star Trek: Discovery” on the 7th day after its season 2 debut; 175% ahead of HBO’s “Westworld” on the 7th day after its season 2 debut; 72.3% ahead of BBC’s “Doctor Who” on the 7th day after its series 11 debut; and 69.8% ahead of Netflix's “Stranger Things” on the 7th day after its season 2 debut.
