Love Nature announced that Ewan McGregor contributed his popular voice to the series, “Stormborn.” The show is scheduled to premier at the theatrical screening event at Jackson Wild Summit this fall. “Love Nature strives to bring fans content that will connect them to the natural world at a heartfelt level,” Carlyn Staudt, EVP, Love Nature Programming & Development said. “By pulling back the curtain, and bringing to light the many challenges Stormborn’s cast is up against, viewers will learn first hand how special and resilient these animals are.”
The three-part drama was created by Scotland-based company, Maramedia and filmed various animals over the course of one breeding year in Norway, Scotland, and Iceland. The three 50-minute episodes of the series were produced by Maramedia, in association with Smithsonian Channel, ARTE France, BBC Scotland, and Screen Scotland. Love Nature will host the series’ world broadcast premier on its international linear and streaming video platforms in November, followed by premieres on Smithsonian Channel in the United States, BBC Scotland, and ARTE in France and Germany.
Love Nature is available via its branded linear and streaming platforms in 114 countries on traditional pay-TV platforms such as Sky, Rogers, Virgin, Starhub, among many others with growing streaming outlets like The Roku Channel, Amazon Channels, Bilibili, Apple Plus, Pluto TV and Samsung TV Plus. Blue Ant International was responsible for licensing for the series, which will be accessible at MIPCOM 2020.
Love Nature revealed “Stormborn's” official trailer, led by narration from McGregor’s narration. The Golden Globe Award winner covers animals surviving and thriving in the remote, northern edges of the Atlantic Ocean. Production crews worked with local scientists and wildlife experts at every shooting site to advise on locations and animal tendencies. The show is intended to teach the viewers about survival and animal behavior “'Stormborn' shows how Love Nature is playing in a different sphere now with story-led dramas that provide intimate portraits of animal characters in some of the most beautiful and remote locations on the planet,” Staudt said.
