RTP1 has commissioned a second season of CGI-based game show, "Family Piggy Bank," Armoza Formats reveals. Following the success of the first season, the new season will feature 100 prime time episodes and will be produced by Fremantle Portugal. “What an incredible adaptation from our partners at RTP1 and Fremantle Portugal, who immediately saw the potential of this innovative format," Adva Avichzer, Head of Sales at Armoza Formats said. "The cost- effectiveness combined with the high production value and longevity potential makes it the ideal format in the current needs of the industry and we look forward to this new season as well as many more adaptations around the world.”
Produced by Armoza Formats and Gamechanger’s Nimrod Harel and Yaron Yashinsky, "Family Piggy Bank," with local rights recently acquired in Italy, showcases the dynamics of a family dinner to the studio. In the game show, one main contestant with the help of four family members will go through three rounds of trivia. The game puts one family’s knowledge and trust in each other to the test as they work together to try to fill their family piggy bank.
In round one, contestant will earn money. In round two, they will try to multiply and in the final round, the family will try to cash out their piggy banks. Using innovative CGI-technology, the format comes with a technological hub that creates a prime time, shiny floor studio, virtual game play movements and even a virtual audience.
