The hit prime time game show “Still Standing,” distributed by Armoza Formats, part of ITV Studios, has now been commissioned in Argentina. The local version of the format, which drops contestants straight through the floor, will air on Canal 13 (Artear) and will be produced by BoxFish. Additionally, a second season of the series has been commissioned in Uruguay, where it is has been successfully airing on Canal 4.
It was recently announced that “Still Standing” had been acquired in Spain, Greece and South Africa, and that a ninth season had been commissioned in Italy after an outstanding eighth season. The studio-based game show is Israel’s most successful format with over 7000 episodes in more than 40 territories including the United States, Spain, Brazil, France, Hungary, Italy, Thailand, Turkey, and China.
Created by Israel’s Channel 10 and July-August Productions, “Still Standing” (60’) offers contestants the chance to win US$1 million by out-guessing ten opponents in ten fast-paced and dramatic trivia battles. As the clock winds down, contestants fight to be the last one still standing, because if they are left scrambling for the answer, they will literally be dropped from the game straight through the studio floor.
Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, commented: “‘Still Standing’ continues to share its strength and innovation with the world, and we are excited for its recent success in Latin America. With over 7000 episodes worldwide, it is a solid choice for broadcasters, and as we see, viewers cannot help but fall in love with this game show.”
