Following the commissions in the UK and US, the brand-new adventure reality format "Destination X" distributed by Be-Entertainment and produced by Geronimo, was acquired by M6 in France. The format is simple as it is strong: 10 participants sign up for a journey on board the black and blinded Destination X Bus. They don’t know their whereabouts as they travel, but through clever game play, they’re able to collect clues about their location. Except then, they have to figure out which clues are real, and when they’re just being misled.

At the end of each episode, the participant who places their X on the map furthest from the actual location must leave the game. The viewers at home can play along every step of the way and see the reveal of each episode’s clues and deceptions at the end of each episode.

The first series in Belgium aired its big finale last Monday and reached an impressive average market share of 42.2% (18-44 demo, consolidated - against the AMS of the channel of 25.6%) over the first series for VTM.

Pierre Guillaume Ledan, Executive Vice President of Programs in charge of flow programs at M6: "We are always looking for new and attractive formats. After the success of 'Traitors', we are delighted to launch the 'Destination X' experience. When ITV Studios France and Be-Entertainment presented the project to us, we fell in love with it immediately and ordered the program without even waiting for the ratings in Belgium. This format, which is very ambitious and mixes adventure game and investigation, corresponds perfectly to what we want to offer to our audience."

Thierry Lachkar, President of ITV Studios France: "'Destination X' is a new kind of adventure show that is both highly addictive and innovative. Everyone is trying to find the location of the bus, not only the candidates, but also the viewers in front of their screens. The staging and mechanics are formidable and push you to investigate as if you were on board. We are proud of this new collaboration with M6."
