Boat Rocker hires Patrick Roberts as SVP Global Sales for Scripted and documentary

In his new role, Roberts will lead the day-to-day international sales strategy for Boat Rocker’s premium scripted and documentary content, across the UK and EMEA. Meanwhile, Erik Pack expands global co-production remit.

Boat Rocker, an independent, integrated global entertainment company, announced it has hired industry veteran Patrick Roberts as Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Boat Rocker Studios. Roberts will support Boat Rocker’s overall sales strategy and lead the distribution of premium scripted and documentary content across the UK and EMEA. Furthermore, with Boat Rocker’s continued focus on international co-productions, senior Boat Rocker executive Erik Pack will expand his remit and focus exclusively on this growth area, as Senior Vice President, Global Co-Productions, Boat Rocker Studios.  

Jon Rutherford, President, Global Rights, Franchise, and Content Strategy, Boat Rocker Studios explained the objectives of the new hire: “Patrick brings a wealth of experience, strong client relationships, and an undeniable track record of success and we’re delighted he’s joined our team to distribute our slate of industry leading scripted and documentary content. We’re also pleased Erik will be leading the continued growth of our international scripted and documentary co-production slate. Erik has been a key driver of our success in this area, and we look forward to him further building and shaping this initiative," commented.

In his new role, Roberts will lead the day-to-day international sales strategy for Boat Rocker’s premium scripted and documentary content, across the UK and EMEA. Roberts joins Boat Rocker from Lionsgate where he was VP, International Sales for UK Film and Television. Roberts had previously held the role of VP, International Sales at eOne where he managed UK territory eOne film sales across all platforms, including titles such as 1917, Green Book, and Girl on a Train. He also managed film output deals with Amazon and Sky Cinema and was responsible for television sales for titles such as Cardinal and The Newsreader to BBC and The Rookie and Conviction to Sky Witness. Roberts will be based in Boat Rocker’s London office.

Also situated in Boat Rocker’s London Office, Pack will be expanding his co-production remit to focus exclusively on sourcing and executive producing new international scripted and documentary content opportunities as Senior Vice President, Global Co-Productions, Boat Rocker Studios. Pack is currently an executive producer on three highly anticipated Boat Rocker international co-productions, Video Nasty, Mix Tape, and The Ridge. All of these scripted projects will be globally distributed by Boat Rocker.
