Romanian Pro TV has commissioned a third season of drama series “Vlad” following the smash hit success of the first two seasons, aired earlier this year. This new part is set to premiere in early 2020.

Hailed by local critics as one of the best Romanian drama series of all time, “Vlad” scored top ratings both during its first season in February-March 2019 and on its return in September this year. The series is distributed internationally by Eccho Rights, who launched it at MIPTV in April.

“‘Vlad’ is the most ambitious scripted project that we have ever had at Pro TV, and we are extremely happy with the way it was received by the local audience. We are so excited to see where the third season will take us,” said Antonii Mangov, Senior Programming Executive at Pro TV.

The show tells the story of Adrian, a man who must reinvent himself after he is betrayed by his closest friends and fiancée, framed for a murder and armed robbery. After escaping from prison, Adrian assumes a new identity, as Vlad, with only one mission in life - to find an explanation to what happened to him, and to take everything away from those who once destroyed his life. But first, he has to resolve the constant, incorrigible, and endless love he still carries for the girl of his dreams, Eliza.
