Latin American sales company Spiral International secured a deal with Globo, the largest commercial TV network in Latin America, for “Care Bears: Unlock the Magic,” available starting September 15 on its streaming service Globoplay. The all-new 2D animated series produced by Cloudco Entertainment includes 48x11’ episodes and 2x22’ specials.
“We are excited to bring the latest chapter of the Care Bears franchise to Brazilian homes with the collaboration of Globo’s new digital platform GloboPlay as well as Brazilian children’s specialist Gloob. 'Care Bears: Unlock the Magic' gives these loving bears a modern twist while paying homage to their iconic look. We hope that young children today are inspired by these loving characters as much as their parents were back in the day,” stated Zasha Robles, Managing Director at Spiral International.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson from Globoplay commented: “Brazilian audiences love the Care Bears since the 1990s, so we are extremely happy to bring them back and be the exclusive home in Brazil for their brand new adventures. We are certain these beloved characters will continue to connect with the hearts and minds of children, spreading love and important values like friendship and courage”.
“Care Bears: Unlock the Magic” follows Cheer Bear, Grumpy Bear, Good Luck Bear, Funshine Bear, and Share Bear as they embark on a new adventure from Care-A-Lot to the Silver Lining, a beautiful strange world inhabited by the Whiffles, a group of innocently happy creatures that plant seeds to keep the magical land of Care-A-Lot growing. Throughout the series, the Care Bears use their belly badge powers to spread messages of sharing, caring, friendship and courage while making sure to have lots of laughs along the way.
