Youngest Media has enetered a partnership with John de Mol’s Talpa,to bring the new global format "The Floor" to the UK.“Channels are searching for entertainment that drives loyal viewing both in a schedule and on demand,” said David Flynn, co-founder of Youngest Media. “With The Floor, John de Mol and his team at Talpa have created just that, a battle of brains where the best players become characters you follow across the series. We can’t wait to bring this to the UK," Sebastian van Barneveld, Talpa’s Director of International Distribution said.

Distributed by Talpa and commissioned by RTL4 in the Netherlands, The Floor has already begun to roll out internationally. It was recently announced that Eureka Productions, the award-winning unscripted producer headquartered in Los Angeles and Sydney, has teamed up with Talpa to bring The Floor to the U.S. Further deals are soon to be expected: the format is currently getting a lot of
buzz at MIPCOM in Cannes.

In the fast-paced quiz show "The Floor," 100 quiz fanatics face-off in quiz duels on a giant LED floor divided into one hundred equal squares, each representing its own field of knowledge. The goal is
to conquer the entire floor and take home a huge cash prize. The rules are simple: a contestant challenges an opponent in an adjoining square. Together they play several questions in a short time,
using the chess clock principle. Each question is visually supported by large photographs on the surrounding screens. The winner of a quiz duel takes over the opponent's square, and the loser
leaves the game.

The last person left standing on "The Floor" at the end of the series stands to win a lifechanging cash prize. “The Floor is a unique and instantly recognizable, arced gameshow, and we are very excited to partner with, one of the best game show specialists in the UK. We couldn't have wished for a better partner in that area.”
