Paris-based indie distributor ZED has closed several sales deals for two documentaries on royal families, with broadcasters across the globe. "Queen’s Elizabeth’s Last Battles", produced by Elephant and Chrysalide Productions for France Télévisions has acquired by Telefonica/Canal+ España, RSI, RTBF, RTS, RTVE, Societe Radio Canada, SVT, LTV - Latvian Television and United Media Group.

Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah has shaken Buckingham Palace and unleashed passion across the world. But beyond these bombshell revelations, the British monarchy has spent the last few years dealing with a string of obstacles. Between the Brexit earthquake, the hospitalization of Prince Philip, Harry and Meghan renouncing royal duties, and the sexual accusations against her son, Andrew, the Queen has recently faced many painful challenges. Directed by history-specialized talented filmmaker Pierre Hurel, this 1x52’ examines what these events reveal about the monarchy, and provides insight into the reign of Queen Elizabeth II by charting the key milestones of her recent years.

Chloé Persyn-Preljocaj, Head of Distribution at ZED said: "This extensive film on Queen Elizabeth II has uncovered a powerful woman, who’s still standing despite the difficulties. And today more than ever, there’s a global – and growing – fascination for her story, and that of the British monarchy.

On its Spring’s line-up, ZED also showcases "Her Name Grace Kelly," produced by Patrick Spica Productions for France Télévisions, a 1x52’ unprecedented portrait of the movie star-turned-Princess of Monaco. Thanks to an exclusive access to private archives - some of which colorized and never been seen in public - which are commented on by members of her family, including Prince Albert of Monaco, this film reveals Grace Kelly as we have never seen her before, and lifts the lid on an intimate family saga quite different to the official image of the Princess of Monaco.

ZED has penned a number of sales deals with broadcasters including Reelz, Channel4, ZDF, NHK, Canal Plus Poland, RSI, RTBF, RTS, RTVE, Radio Canada, VRT, RSI, UR, ERR, RTV Slovenia, Avrotros, DR, RTE, Ceska Televize and SKY Network Television Limited.
