Love Nature unveiled its most recent original series, "Otter Dynasty." “'Otter Dynasty' is special because it combines true natural history filmmaking with dramatic story-telling complete with a distinct cast of animal characters bringing tales of battle, romance and survival that will leave audiences in hot anticipation for each episode,” said Carlyn Staudt, Global General Manager, Love Nature. “Beach House Pictures was able to create a universally compelling story about these resilient animals in Singapore, while also lifting a curtain on their real animal emotions and relationships.”

"Otter Dynasty" is produced by Beach House Pictures, in association with Love Nature and Animal Planet. Jocelyn Little and Donovan Chan are Executive Producers for Beach House Pictures. Jerry Decker is Showrunner and Claire Clements is Series Director. James Manfull is Executive Producer on behalf of Love Nature. For Discovery, Keith Hoffman is Executive Producer and Sarah Russell is Supervising Producer.

The six-part series will examine the urban wildlife story of three otter families in Singapore. The project follows this resilient species, which were once declared locally extinct from Singapore in the 1970s and now have made the ultimate comeback with 120 otters now vying for survival in the city’s Marina Bay. Love Nature will begin launching "Otter Dynasty" on its international linear and streaming video platforms in November 2022. Blue Ant International oversees licensing in markets outside of the U.S. “Otter Dynasty is Beach House Pictures’ latest project from our ever-growing, award-winning natural history slate. It’s a series that will introduce wildlife lovers everywhere to three distinct otter families and their incredible urban Singaporean lifestyles,” said Jocelyn Little, Managing Director, Beach House Pictures.

The film show the challenges otter families must undergo. The Otter Dynasty families include the ruling Bay City family, the 1% otter group who lives the life of luxury in Marina Bay among Singapore’s futuristic landscapes; the young, up-and-coming River Rebels, who have set their sights set on Marina Bay and enjoy a fun-filled life in a fashionable and trendy neighborhood as they raid fishponds and stop traffic every time they cross the city’s busy roads; and The Wildlings, a young family living a hard but adventurous life in the Mangrove forest where they tough it out against marauding lizards, floods, and choppy seas. “Beach House is one of Asia’s largest independent production companies," Little said. "Our partnership with Love Nature and Animal Planet is an important milestone for the company, and will enable us to further expand our reach in North America and around the globe.”
