Arte Distribution returns to this year’s MIPCOM with a rich variety of programs covering a wide range of topics. The highlights begin with a brand-new collection named Crime and Investigations, it brings straight to the heart of the most intriguing global criminal deeds — from powerful organized crime networks to international spy mysteries.
In "Triads" (3x52’), the producers of the 2021’s hit "The Story Of Drug Trafficking" bring the bloodiest Chinese mafias in front of the camera, interviewing key protagonists to create the ultimate criminal investigation series. From one thriller to another, "The Thing" (4x35’ & 2x52’) will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Written in collaboration with one of the minds behind "The Bureau", the series follows former politicians and CIA members in their search of the invisible affliction that has been incapacitating key American spy agents since 2016.
Arte Distribution also takes the audience deep into the intrigues of the past with its History collection with titles such as "Joan of Arc" (52’ & 90’) in a stunning 3D feature animated documentary bringing narration to the next level. The selection also gathers documentaries like "Reinventing China" (2x52’), a new reference to understand how much China has changed over the last 150 years.
Presenting this year yet another strong edition of its Wildlife & Discovery collection, Arte Distribution delivers one-of-a-kind blue-chip series such as "The Rockies’ Wild Corridor" (4x43’ & 4x52’) or "Europe’s Wildest Heritage" (5x43’), as well as a new season of its "360° Report" (25x52' or 25x32') series.
ARTE Distribution is the international program sales unit of the European public channel ARTE with a catalogue of over 4,000 hours of documentaries entrusted by more than 150 prestigious French and foreign production companies. Recently, the company got 2 nominations at the last edition of the Venice TV Award for "The Trial" and "Prague 1952" in the Documentary and Direction categories.
