The Grand Final of the French League of Legends, co-produced by Riot Games and Webedia, will take place on Monday, October 16, at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, on the occasion of Sportel Awards.
Usually organized during Paris Games Week, which will not take place this year due to the current health crisis, this is the first time that Webedia is relocating this major event. The Grand Final of the French League of Legends promises to be historic thanks to an unprecedented project and partnership between Webedia, Sportel Awards and Monaco Esports Federation.
"Sportel Awards is very pleased to welcome in Monaco this day dedicated to e-sports, organized in collaboration with Webedia and the Monaco Esports Federation. In addition to the traditional competition that rewards the most beautiful sports images, Sportel Awards has been organizing numerous events for the public and sports fans for several editions now. It was therefore natural that we welcomed Webedia's proposal to organize the LFL final as part of the Sportel Awards, with a programme specially designed for the occasion," said Loris Menoni, Executive Director of the Sportel Awards.
Meanwhile, Louis Ducruet, President of Monaco Esports Federation, commented: “The Monegasque Esports Federation is proud to host the LFL final during this day entirely dedicated to e-sports, where the TFT Monaco Invitational final and a show-match will also take place. This is one of the first e-sports events of international standing for the Principality and we are looking forward to seeing some excellent matches".
