Filmsharks' original horror movie “No Entres" premiered in Cannes

The film directed by Hugo J. Cardozo was screened at the opening gala at the Fantastic Pavillion Galas and it will have the Asian premiere in Busan in October.

Filmsharks' original horror movie “No Entres" ("Do Not Enter”) have been premiered at the Opening Gala at The Fantastic Pavillion Galas in Cannes and it will also have the Asian premiere In Busan IFF 2024 in October. “No Entres”, produced by Guido Rud, and Rene Ruiz Diaz ("The Goldseekers"), whit Sébastien Auscher serving as EP, and directed by Hugo J. Cardozo, tells the story of two YouTuber friends who decide to enter a forbidden place that will become the worst nightmare of their lives.



Filmsharks very recently closed new deals with top tier distributors for theatrical the release of the film, including Corazon Films for Mexico; Busch Media for Germany/Gas; Playarte for Brazil; Nos Lusomundo for Portugal. Previous deals closed include Nashe Kino for Russia/CIS and Program Store for France. Deals have been closed by Federico Pascua, Matias Fontenla and Guido Rud. On the other hand, USA, Japan, Korea and Spain are under discussions, as well as the remakes in the US and India.



Matias Fontenla, VP of Sales said: “We’re very happy with Do Not Enter’s international performance. It’s another example that shows how the Latin-American talent keeps growing every day. I got the chance to sell 'Morgue' at first instance and, of course, watch the success it had. That’s why we were positive about this title from scratch, Hugo is very talented and he’s crafting a path to become one of the Latin Directors to seek”.

NEW DEALS
In a separate deal, Filmsharks sub label The Remake CO. closed the Mexican remake rights of Hugo J. Cardozo’s earlier film "Morgue" with Mexico’s leading co. at the B.O, BH5 Studios. The company also announced that US, Indonesia, Spain and France producers are discussing the remake for "Morgue".

"Morgue" tells the story of Diego Martinez who was assigned to work during the night shift at the Regional Hospital During as a security guard. Everything is new for him: the night, the silence, the vigil. During his first walk through the big hospital hallways, he feels those can tend to be perturbing during the night, he can hear the noises; when he checks every detail, he realizes that he got accidentally locked inside the Morgue.

Senior executive Federico Pascua added “'Morgue' is a unique suspense film that made Hugo Cardozo’s debut well known across the world. We are so happy that Rodrigo Trujillo and Bh5 Studios had committed to make a remake of it, we’re absolutely sure they will take 'Morgue' to the next level. So excited to see it happening!”
