The Nigerian channel, Ebonylife Limited, has inked a significant package of over 300 episodes from Prime Entertainment Group, Paris based producer and distributor, to air on the channel Ebony Life TV. Reaching 11 million homes, the channel selected a package of more thant 350 episodes of hit cinema series from PRIME’s sizable entertainment catalog. The package counts episodes from PRIME’s very successful series “Hollywood’s Best Film Directors” (91x26’), “Ultimate Countdown” (28x45’), “Zoom In” (104x6’30”), “Hollywood On Set” (52x26’) and “Hollywood News Feed” (52x15’).
Prime’s Head of Sales, Alexandrea Marguerite says: “We are very happy to strengthen our business partnership with Ebonylife. We are very happy to bring some of our favorite entertainment content to their audience”.
In 2013, Ebonylife TV launched the first Black entertainment and lifestyle channel, with the mission to create and produce premium quality programming. Since the creation of the channel, over 5,000 hours of original drama, talk, entertainment and factual content have been created and broadcast. In 2018, EbonyLife ON, was launched as a VOD platform service in Africa.
Ebonylife and PRIME have been working together since 2013 for episodes from PRIME’s entertainment catalog, including “Close up” 105x26’ and “Hollywood News Feed” 52x15’ episodes.
PRIME has been significantly expanding its presence on the African continent, with programs airing on such channels as SABC in South Africa, Canal+ Africa, RTI and Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation.
