Univision will premiere “La Mexicana y el Güero” (‘I love you, Güero’) at primetime on Tuesday, May 31st. The romantic comedy, starring Itatí Cantoral and Juan Soler, will air Monday to Friday at the Spanish network at the US. Produced by Nicandro Diaz, the series aired in Mexico on 2020.
A version of the Chilenian “Complices”, “I Love you, Güero” centers on Andrea (Itatí Cantoral), a con artist, who posed as Tyler’s (Juan Soler) biological sister, an idealistic millionaire who returns to Mexico in search of his family. Andrea only wants the money, but she does not expect the attraction that begins to emerge between the two.
The drama triangle also includes René, portrayed by Luis Roberto Guzmán, Andrea's lover and her partner and her partner in the scam. The cast also includes Rodrigo Abed, Eleazar Gómez, Jacqueline Andere, Julio Camejo, Irán Castillo, Gabriela Carrillo, Laura Vignatti, Nora Salinas, Pablo Valentín, Gaby Zamora, Miguel Martínez, Tania Lizardo, Patricio Castillo and Sabine Moussier.
