Last week, Univision's two-hour special premier of the popular telenovela, "Los Ricos Tambien Lloran" garnered more than 2.7 million viewers. The title made its debut from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
The figures accumulated after the premier of "Los Ricos Tambien Lloran" ranked Univison as the second most-viewed network on all television for the time slot outperforming CBS, NBC, FOX, The CW and all cable networks regardless of language in the 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. time period for adults between 18-34 years old, and No. 3 network ahead of CBS, FOX, The CW and all cable networks with Adults 18-49.The network also ranked first for the entire night with double-to-triple digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
The novela was the fourth most-watched program on all of television with more Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 viewers than the first-run episode of ABC’s “Claim To Fame,” FOX’s special airing of “TMZ Investigates Who Really Killed Michael Jackson” as well as the entire original primetime line-up on The CW. It delivered more viewers than all of Telemundo’s primetime novela/series premieres in 2022 thus far.
The title also outperformed Tthe rival Telemundo two-hour premiere of Turkish novela “El Fuego del Destino” head-to-head in the 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. time slot with double-to-triple digit audience advantages among Total Viewers 2+ by a 58% advantage, Adults 18-49 by 102% advantage and Adults 18-34 by a 123% advantage.
