Univision announced the premiere date for “El Último Rey: El Hijo del Pueblo,” the anticipated bioseries about music legend Vicente Fernández starring Mexican singer and actor Pablo Montero. The title created by the renowned TV producer Juan Osorio, is set to debut in the U.S. on 17 May at 10 p.m. ET on Univision.

The show tells the aspirational story of the life and legacy of the King of Ranchera music. The cast for the show includes well-known actors, such as Angélica Aragón, Iván Arana, Iliana Fox, Pablo Montero, Jesús Moré, Emilio Osorio, Salvador Sánchez, and Vince Miranda.
Osorio has produced more than 27 series and melodramas including “Soltero con hijas” (Single with Daughters), “Mi marido tiene familia” (My Husband Has a Family), “¿Qué le pasa a mi familia?” (What Happens to My Family?), and more.
