TelevisaUnivision and SBT extend its collaboration in Brazil through 2028

TelevisaUnivision has expanded its exclusive agreement with Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (SBT), a company within the Silvio Santos Group, for the next five years, until 2028.  "After months of negotiations, we are happy to officially announce the extension of this historic partnership with SBT for free TV in Brazil,” Guillermo Borensztein, SVP of International Content Licensing and Co-Production said.

The deal secures the exclusive broadcast of Televisa's telenovelas on free-to-air television in Brazil and embarks on a collaboration for the international distribution of the successful telenovelas produced by SBT based on Televisa's formats. “We are excited to confirm that Brazilian audiences will continue to enjoy our content for many years to come, as we take the relationship with SBT to the next level," Borensztein said.

This agreement results from a long-time collaboaration between TelevisaUnivision and SBT, dating back more than 40 years, and contributes to the successful track record and strong positioning of Televisa's content in the Brazilian market.“Televisa has always been a partner of SBT. We will continue walking together,” commented Daniela Beyruti, vice president of SBT.
