For the second time NTV Broadcasting Company took part in Asia Television Forum and Market (ATF), held in Singapore, December 3-6, 2019. This year ATF gathered more than 5700 participants from 58 countries.
NTV's representatives held talks with companies from India regarding the sale of NTV's scripted and non-scripted formats. In particular, Indian buyers were interested in “Super You” non-scripted format. Producers from China took interest in “Secret for a Million” celebrity quiz show.
NTV action-packed series available as ready-made projects or scripted formats, attracted attention of Indonesian, Taiwanese and Malaysian media market representatives. Buyers emphasized the high quality of NTV's ready-made series.
In 2019 Arait Multimedia, one of the leading international content distributors, acquired rights for “Countdown” action-packed drama series for PayTV and OTT platforms in Vietnam.
NTV documentary library was also popular with international companies. Buyers from Taiwan and Turkey, specializing in educational content, pointed out that NTV's documentaries are telling universally appealing but also uniquely Russian stories.
On December 5th, the pivotal day of the market, a screening of NTV's action-packed dramedy “Reluctant Hero” was held as a part of Asian Drama Trends program, organized by Glance-Mediametrie. That is an overview of current and upcoming trends in Asian scripted series, an exclusive selection of both hits and pilots.
