Madd Entertainment brought a hot slate of new Turkish dramas to the Latin American market at MIP Cancun 2019, including new series “Love Makes You Cry,” “The Choice” and “A Miracle,” Turkey’s highest-rated drama series in seven years. Madd Entertainment also organized a special screening for its record breaker drama “A Miracle” at the Cancun Theather during the market.
“A Miracle” is the Turkish adaptation of “The Good Doctor” and has been the smash-hit of this season on home soil, reaching a 46% audience share. In the story, an elite pediatric unit is turned upside-down when a strange newcomer joins the team. Ali has autism with Savant syndrome, making it hard for him at first, but thanks to sincerity and dedication, this genius doctor finds love and acceptance.
The Ay Yapim series “The Choice” features an all-star ensemble including Halit Ergenç, Ozan Güven, Aslı Enver, Birce Akalay, Nur Fettahoğlu, and Mesut Akusta. In the story, an unemployed professor concocts what turns out to be Turkey’s largest-ever financial fraud in the course of trying to save his son’s life.
“Love Makes You Cry” is a hot new series from the creators of “Mother” and “Woman”. Their adaptation of the Japanese hit tells the story of a beautiful country girl who runs away to Istanbul in order to escape an arranged marriage and finds true love along the way. Since its September premiere on Turkey’s Show TV, the show has become Sunday night’s top drama series.
“Love Makes You Cry,” “The Choice” and “A Miracle” are each distributed exclusively by Madd Entertainment, the Istanbul-based distributor formed by Ay Yapim and Medyapim in 2018.
