Univision will wrap up the month of July with a secured slot in the top 3 networks with the highest primetime ratings across all television. The channel’s viewership figures have surpassed CBS, FOX, The CW, Telemundo, among other networks.
According to its latest ratings report, the network is averaging 1.6 million total viewers, representing a 15% increase from last year’s July data, marking its highest audience levels since 2017 during a July sweep period. In total, Univision has reported growth across sessions throughout the day, including early morning, daytime, early fringe, primetime, late-night, and weekend daytime.
The channel dominated its largest Spanish-language competitor, Telemundo with a 62% advantage among all viewers over the age of 2. Its network portfolio, which includes UniMás, Galavision, and TUDN, currently delivers 68% of primetime viewing for Spanish audiences.
Its most successful summer titles greatly contributed to the growth, with “Copa America” garnering 2.2 million total viewers, the “UEFA 2020 Euro Cup” reporting 1.5 million, while the “2021 Concacaf Gold Cup” received 1.8 million, and the network’s 18th annual “Premios Juventud” seeing a 24% increase from previous viewer-counts, to 1.9 million.
