The Movistar Plus+ original series "La Mesías" will premiere on October 11th with a two-episode release. Following the release, a new episode will become available each week. "La Mesías," made in collaboration with Suma Content, is written, directed, and produced by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo. Movistar Plus+ International will also handle the international sales of the series.
The series is also part of the 71st edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival’s Official Selection, where creators, producers, and cast will present it on 29th September. The series cast includes Macarena García, Roger Casamajor, Lola Dueñas, Carmen Machi, Ana Rujas, Albert Pla, Amaia, Biel Rossell Pelfort, and Cecilia Roth head up the cast of this family thriller that deals with overcoming trauma, and faith as a tool to fill the void, and art as the only escape from terror. Other actresses contributing to the series include Nora Navas, Gracia Olayo, Aixa Villagrán, Carla Díaz, Betsy Túrnez, Ángeles Ortega, Mari Paz Sayago and Rossy de Palma.
