"Drive Therapy"
Armoza Formats, part of ITV Studios, has announced the international launch of "Drive Therapy", a new docu-reality format that brings therapy to the intimate setting of a car on the way to a meaningful meeting. This marks the first format to be announced as part of Armoza’s MIPTV slate.
From Armoza Formats and Artza Productions, in each episode of "Drive Therapy (60’)" the backseat therapist, along with his trusted driver, will pick up three people who are on a journey in their lives and drive them to a destination in order to confront something in their lives.
During the ride, the therapist will provide the passenger with new tools that will help them re-route their lives, instead of constantly arriving at the same dead end. On the way, they will stop at several meaningful places to their journey, ending as they arrive at the final destination as well as a deeper understanding of themselves.
Salome Peillon, Head of Sales at Armoza Formats, “Each of us has had points in our lives when we felt like we needed some direction, and our new docu-reality ‘Drive Therapy’ will offer participants and viewers just that. Through the relatable stories of people looking for help as well as the new tools that the therapist will offer, this emotional format allows people to see from a new angle. We are excited to bring this co-development, together with our partners at Artza Productions, as part of our MIP slate.”
