Univision’s “Premios Juventud 2020” helped the network reach 5.2 million viewers on Thursday night. The award show, made in honor of frontline workers, aired from 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. ET/PT.

The three-hour live broadcast serves as the 17th annual edition of “Premios Juventud.” Its attracted viewerships placed Univision ahead of ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and The CW among adults between the ages of 18-34. The show also caused the network to become the day’s most-social program across all of the television through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, with a total of 7.3 million interactions on these platforms, while a special first-of-its-kind pre-show that featured the first two awards on TikTok delivered 100,000 live views.

The Spanish-language network received double-to-triple digit audience advantages over Telemundo for the entire night at 155%, with 123% for adults aged 18-34, 60% for adults 18-49, and a general 47%.  "Premios Juventud" attracted more Hispanic viewers in the key demographic groups of adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 than the latest 2019 editions of the major English-language music award shows, such as the “American Music Awards,” “Billboard Music Awards, “Country Music Awards” and MTV’s “Video Music Awards.”

Hosted by Julissa Calderon, Ana Patricia Gámez, Francisca Lachapel, Borja Voces and Sebastián Yatra,  the show featured surprise guests and performances by The Wailers, who were joined on-stage by Cedella and Skip Marley, Pedro Capó, Rauw Alejandro, Camilo, Farruko and Kany García, along with Pitbull’s first-ever TV performance of his inspirational hit, “I Believe That We Will Win.” Viewers also watched a tribute celebrating the 25-year legacy and music of Selena Quintanilla.
