During MIPTV, Turkish distributor Madd Entertainment announced yet another sale for the ongoing series “Family Secrets”: Greece bought the popular show along with Puerto Rico, the United States, Spain, Chile, MENA, Israel, Cyprus, Romania, and Georgia. This makes “Family Secrets” one of the fastest-selling drama series on the market today.
At the same time, “Family Secrets” is one of Turkey’s hottest dramas. Even after almost 30 episodes, it remains a perennial Top 5 show in the competitive ABC+20 cohort. This Ay Yapim series, broadcast as “Yargı” on Kanal D and directed by Ali Bilgin from an original story by Sema Ergenekon, takes Turkish drama in a bold new direction.
The story features Pınar Deniz as Ceylin, a tough lawyer willing to bend the rules in the service of justice. Kaan Urgancıoğlu plays Ilgaz, a no-nonsense prosecutor who does everything by the book. The two of them mix like oil and water, but when Ilgaz’s brother is accused of murder, it is Ceylin he goes to for help.
