Pranks and more pranks for everyone. Novocomedy, the distribution company based in France, focused on comedy, announced a series of releases and agreements. In first place, Novocomedy and AXP teamed up to create NovoPranks, a 100% pranks FAST channel, featuring hidden cameras from all over the world. After conducting initial tests for various genres of content, Novocomedy concluded that there was a niche for a channel solely dedicated to pranks, showcasing all styles of pranks, ranging from the most innocent family prank to the boldest, high-budget, extravagant pranks on celebrities worldwide. Whether targeting celebrities, children, seniors, or pets, there are no limits to who can be pranked.
François-Xavier Poirier, founder and CEO of Novocomedy, spoke with great enthusiasm about the new agreement "Novocomedy is the world's uncontested leader in this particular genre of television entertainment and is thrilled to include in its 24-hour FAST channel all the pranks that it has produced or distributed over the last two decades. AXP and Novocomedy have been working hand in hand for several months to be able to launch this channel together, and we love the result!", noted.
Regarding SBT, the Brazilian giant, in the context of the launch of its OTT platform, acquired pranks and magic shows from Novocomedy: "Crazy Hidden Camera" (200 x 22’) and "Pop Magic Street" (38 x 22’). These will be available for streaming on SBT's streaming platform, +SBT, which is set to be released later in Q2. Family-oriented candid camera and magic shows simply appeal to the entire family and never fail to entertain. They have already been licensed all over the world, on all five continents.
That wasn't the only deal with the Brazilian network. Novocomedy also added a large collection of pranks to its core catalog of hidden cameras, curated by the legendary host Silvio Santos since 1981. Spectacular, crazy, sometimes scary, but always funny, they fit perfectly among Novocomedy’s own or distributed collection of pranks globally, solidifying the company's position as the uncontested leader in this particular genre of television entertainment. With shows such as "Crazy Hidden Camera", "Prank my Pet", "Pranks Network After Dark", "The XPrank show", "ZeZe Hidden Camera Gags", among others, Novocomedy boasts an extensive array of prank content.
